Did you know that……………..”Results of a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration study of 5,000 children riding in vehicles found that more than 70 percent were in seats that were either inappropriate for the child or were incorrectly installed, even though 95 percent of the parents thought their child was secured safely.”……..read this article as seen on MSN for more :  http://editorial.autos.msn.com/article.aspx?cp-documentid=1162998

The Hanover Police Department performs Child Safety Seat checks. Unfortunately due to current staffing, we are unable to make specific appointments. Rather, Officer Schauder or Officer Pilipie will provide you with their schedule and barring any emergencies will be happy to assist you at your convenience.

Please contact the main police desk at 973-428-2512 and ask to speak with Patrolman Schauder or Patrolman Pilipie.  If you would rather email, you may at jschauder@hanoverpolice.com or bpilipie@hanoverpolice.com.  Please leave your name, address and contact phone number.   In order to correctly inspect your child safety seat we need to know the age, height and weight of each child to correctly assist you with the car seat.

Please understand that due to emergencies, call volume and rotating schedules the officers may not be able to immediately respond to your request, they will get back to you on their next shift back to work or when call volume allows.
